Under both "HW" and "Resources" please see the TWO pdf files with reading for the last day of class.  Please come prepared to class with some questions or points for discussion. If the discussion seems to indicate that folks have not read the material, I will give a quiz instead.

I will be holding extra office hours this week in advance of the midterm next tuesday, 3/3.

The midterm will be next Tuesday, 3/3 and cover lecture and reading material through Tues, Feb. 24th. It will cover HW material up through HW#5.  HW#4 solutions are posted, and HW#5 solutions will be posted after class on the 24th.  HW#6 will be handed out in class on Tuesday, but it is optional and will not be graded.  The solutions to HW#6 will therefore also be posted online on the 24th. I strongly suggest working through problem #1 carefully and checking your answer against the solutions.

We will have a brief midterm review in class on Tuesday Feb 24th.

There will be no class 2/3.  Class will resume on Thursday, 2/5. Thanks!
